Handcrafted in York, Maine, Howard Brush’s hand cards are manufactured to the exact specifications developed by the founders in 1866. Each hand carder is formed using select hardwoods, with a gently curved compromise between other flat and strongly curved carders, allowing for both styles of carding action. Our handles are ergonomically shaped making them easy and comfortable to grip. Our Hand Carder are finished with a warm hand-rubbed sheen using all natural oils and beeswax.

Our traditionally-made hand carders are offered in 3 sizes: Standard, Student and Mini, and in 5 clothing densities; 54, 72, 90, 120, and 190 TPI.
