Alginate is great for lifecasting. It is a water-based material that can be used to produce molds of hands, feet, heads, and other body parts. An alginate mold is generally only good for one or two castings. This 1lb bag mixes smoothly, sets very firm, and has a low shrink rate. This formula sets in 3 minutes with 70°F water.
